German pertains to the group of Germanic languages as well as English, Holland, Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian. There are more than 100 million people speaking the given language in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and some other countries. This is one of the most popular foreign languages studied at schools and universities all over the world. Learning German opens new prospects, gives the opportunity to know something new about German life, culture, history, literature, scientific and economical achievements.
There are maximum 7 students in each group. The groups are formed according to the level, age and time. It can be whether morning (9 a.m., 11.am., 12.30 a.m.), afternoon (2 p.m., 3.30 p.m.) or evening (5.30 p.m., 7p.m.) classes.
We offer several levels of German: Grundstufe - the given level takes 4 months, the classes take place two times a week and last 2 academic hours (90 minutes). During this level student gets the basic knowledge on grammar and vocabulary on the language. Intensive course Mittelstufe takes 4 months, the classes take place two times a week and last 2 academic hours (90 minutes). Intensive course Oberstufe takes 4 months, the classes take place two times a week and last 2 academic hours (90 minutes). The main student’s book is «Berlin Platz», as well as materials on the German grammar, test booklets, audio courses etc. During the course students have classes with the native speakers. At the end of each level the student receives the certificate (in Russian and German) on completion of the current level. The certificate is given on condition of student’s regular attendance and good performance on the final test. Having finished the level our students have opportunity to continue their education in Germany and Austria as an Au-Pair. Language courses “Intercont” are the official partner of the youth program “Au-Pair”.
